Ilisagvik College is a public community college located in Barrow, Alaska, which is officially known as Utqia?vik and holds the distinction of being the northernmost city in the United States. Established in 1986, the college became a separate entity in 1995, offering post-secondary academic and vocational education to the North Slope region. Ilisagvik College is located amidst a unique tundra landscape and caters to the higher education needs within an indigenous Iņupiat context. Their educational programs emphasize Iņupiaq and Arctic values, with particular strengths in Alaska Native Studies, Allied Health, and Business and Public Services programs.
