Overview

Augustana College, a private liberal arts institution situated in Rock Island, Illinois, provides a picturesque campus environment nestled on a 115-acre land and features an array of pre-professional programs. Founded in 1860, Augustana maintains a historic affiliation with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Notably, the campus architecture incorporates both modern and traditional designs, including the notable Old Main building, constructed in a Victorian Romanesque style. This residential college offers a variety of housing options for students, fostering a supportive living and learning community. Augustana is distinguished by its robust offerings in the sciences, business, and communication studies, and is moderately selective in its admissions process. In the most recent statistical year 6,965 prospective students applied, and 4,264 were granted admission.  Of those admitted 593 enrolled in the school.  2,324 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 25 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $47,766 plus fees of $150.
