Overview

Great Basin College, located in Elko, Nevada, is a public, four-year institution founded in 1967. Positioned in a rural area, the campus spans across roughly 340 acres of the high desert landscape of northeastern Nevada. Its proximity to cities is limited, with the closest major city, Salt Lake City, Utah, being over 230 miles to the east. Great Basin College has an open admission policy which permits enrollment by any high school graduate or GED holding student.  878 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 2,319 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $3,608 plus fees of $165.
