Overview

University of Puget Sound is a private liberal arts college located in Tacoma, Washington, approximately 35 miles south of Seattle. Founded in 1888, the institution resides in a primarily residential area and spans a 97-acre campus, notable for its Tudor-Gothic architecture. It offers a range of undergraduate programs, with particular recognition in Music, Business, and International Relations, as well as a School of Occupational Therapy for graduate studies. With a focus on a liberal arts education, the college provides a curriculum that encourages interdisciplinary and experiential learning. The University of Puget Sound has a moderately selective admissions process. In the most recent statistical year 5,345 prospective students applied, and 4,418 were granted admission.  Of those admitted 405 enrolled in the school.  1,934 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 89 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $57,330 plus fees of $296.
